Parole is the release of prisoners into society while remaining under supervision, while probation is the suspension of a jail sentence for persons found guilty of an offense.
Records on these offenders are part of public data because of New Mexico’s Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) and the federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The public can access many of these records from state and county agencies at no cost; access can be gained electronically or through other means, such as making public record requests.
This streamlined resource outlines the most effective methods for obtaining parole details throughout New Mexico.
